  1. Hi! ...I did not see until now, that you also "shared" a link to http://bethelaustin.wordpress.com/2011/10/11/come-celebrate-sukkot-at-beth-el/ ...

My wife (Bonni) and I lived in Austin (near there) (meaning, near 183 North) when we got married. When we first met I lived in an apt. near Mo-pac (Loop 1) and I worked at Texas Instruments, which (at that time) was at 12500 Research Blvd ("North" on 183).

Then I bought a house on Shoshone -- (which was closer to work). It was in Mesa Park, which is near Balcones Woods. (on 183 "North").

However, in Sept. 1979 -- (less than a year after we got married) -- we moved to Arizona. Bonni graduated from ASU. (She had been a student at UT when we met). (I was, too -- sorta.)(I was a grad student -- part time.) (We met at the UT Hillel house.)

We go back to Austin occasionally (Bonni's brother lives there) but it has changed a lot (What else is new? :-)

We didn't leave Austin because of anything "bad" about Austin that we disliked -- it was just that I got the best job offer of my career (a job that lasted for over 25 years), so it was a good deal. Plus, working at TI was fun, and I learned a lot, but it didn't "pay" as well as Sperry Flight Systems. I worked at S.F.S. both before and after it became part of Honeywell.

    Sorry this was so long.

All the best, wishes, etc., from
